What kind of future lies ahead of us if people turn their backs to each other, racism becomes socially acceptable again, and violence happens every day? If parts of our society lose respect for others and agitate against people who right-wing populists don't consider to be "German enough". That is not a future we want to live in. Neither we as employees of AEB nor all of us as a community.
At AEB, we position ourselves as promoters of social sustainability, diversity, and equal opportunities. These values are deeply rooted within our corporate culture and also are also manifested to the outside through the AEB-Stiftung, our foundation. This is why we participate in the "#Zusammenland - Vielfalt macht uns stark" campaign, an initiative for an open society, for mutual respect, and a sense of community – launched by the largest German publishing houses DIE ZEIT, Handelsblatt, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Tagesspiegel, WirtschaftsWoche, and Ströer.
Being diverse, having different perspectives, and treating each other with respect are the foundations of our culture at AEB. We are proud of this. After all, it is the collaboration of around 33 nationalities across borders that enables us to be successful in what we strive for: promoting sustainable trade in a society that grows together and shares success.
