AEB solutions - whether in the AEB Cloud or on premise - are built on Java or HTML5. The cloud solutions run in the AEB data center independently of your SAP system without the need for any external access to your system environment.
AEB add-ons let users tap into the latest features within the familiar SAP interface without any changes to their systems. No middleware to configure, no interfaces to maintain: All you need is a single API to the AEB Engine in the Stuttgart-based data center. Another benefit that will make your IT people smile: A single AEB service representative replaces all the contacts for middleware providers and carriers.

AEB add-ons make your life simple by eliminating the need for in-house programming. AEB offers true plug-and-play functionality developed in ABAP OO on NetWeaver®. All the objects use their own /AEB/ namespace. The AEB add-ons integrate into your SAP system without changing the standard configuration.
This integration is achieved exclusively through SAP user exits and customer exits or Message Control. This means that no extra work is required when you update your SAP system or the add-ons, since there’s no custom code to be updated. However, if individual functionalities are desired within a add-on, they can be implemented and maintained by AEB in a separate project.
How it works
- You install the add-ons by importing transports through the SAP transport management system.
- Authorizations within the AEB add-ons are controlled through the SAP standard framework for authorization objects.
- All development objects created under ABAP® Objects are generated in the AEB namespace.
- Communications use basic SAP technologies like web service or RFC.

Download the transport from our customer portal and import it.
2. Establish link to AEB Engine
Work with the AEB experts to set up a secure link to our data center.
3. Assign authorizations
Manage the authorizations that allow you to configure and then use the add-on.
4. Configure
At this point you can hand off to your in-house specialists, who work with the AEB project manager to configure the features and who also implement the user exits and customer exits.
5. Test and go live
